Meet our clinic staff
Jennifer Salvo, Optometrist
Dr. Jennifer Salvo holds an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University. She received her doctorate in optometry from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in 2010. At NECO she completed clinical rotations in low vision rehabilitation at the Eastern Blind Rehabilitation Center and the Massachusetts Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired.
After graduating from optometry school, Dr. Salvo worked as a low vision optometrist, providing care in underserved areas of her home state. She also served as the Director of Optometry for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired. Dr. Salvo started her own low vision practice in Massachusetts in 2012 and relocated to San Diego in 2018 to join the San Diego Center for the Blind.
